Richard Utley, age 61 of Frontenac, KS passed away at 2:39 p.m. Saturday December 27, 2008 in the Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Pittsburg, KS.

Richard was born Feb. 25, 1947 at Henderson, Kentucky, the son of William Lee and Margie (Richardson) Utley. He was an auto body person. He moved here from Chanute, Ks.

Richard married Beatrice Maxton Oct 5, 1963 at Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include 1 daughter Lynn Spragg and husband Bob of Scammon, Ks, 2 sons Shane Utley and wife Jennifer of Chanute, Ks and Shawn Utley and companion Valerie of Oranogo, Mo. 1 sister Hilda Able of Pensacola, Florida and 2 brothers William Utley of Joplin, Mo. and Steve Utley of Evansville, Ind.; 14 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday December 30, 2008 at the Lone Elm Cemetery northeast of Columbus, Ks with Jerry Lloyd officiating. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, Ks.
