Rhonda K. Tyree, age 53, of Scammon, Kansas, passed away December 1, 2008 at the St. Johns Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri the result of a semi truck/ auto accident on Hwy 160 between Kansas Ave and the 69, 96, K7 junction Columbus, Kansas.

Rhonda was born September 26, 1955 at Joplin, MO the daughter of Billy Best. She attended school in the area and attended Vo-Tech here in Columbus. She worked at the Cherokee County Courthouse as a Secretary for the Courts Systems for 20 years.

Rhonda married Fred Tyree December 23, 1974 in Miami, Oklahoma.

Survivors include husband of the home; one son, Nathan Tyree; two brothers Billie Lewis and Mark Best; and a sister Elizabeth Ridings.

Memorial visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Friday December 5, 2008 at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be mailed or left at the funeral home 323 S. Kansas Ave Columbus, Kansas.

Cremation Services will be by the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, Kansas.
