Arlene R. Baker
27 January 1917 — 11 July 2008

Arlene R. Baker, age 91 of Columbus, KS passed away 10:20 a.m. Friday July 11, 2008 at the Medicalodge of Columbus.

Arlene was born in Wentworth, MO on Jan. 27, 1917 the daughter of Charles and Rose (Lang) Little. She worked for the Garment Factory in Columbus and Oswego and also worked for the Columbus Medicalodge as a nurses aid.

She married Ralph Baker on July 13, 1933 at Fayetteville, Ark. and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter Marlene Box of Columbus, KS and four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Lou, Bonnie Hudson in 2001 and one son Ralph Baker Jr.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday (July 16, 2008) at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, KS with Dennis Johnson, Minister. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday (July 15, 2008) at the funeral home. Burial will be in the McKee Cemetery NW of Hallowell, KS.
