Norma L. Wiseman, age 81 of Columbus, KS was found Monday afternoon (Nov. 26, 2007) at her home.

She was born Dec. 27, 1926 in Hallowell, KS area, the daughter of Aaron Milton and Lela Vivian (Moore) Kennedy. She was a case worker for the State Rehabilitation Services (SRS office) Columbus, KS, retiring in 2004. She attended schools in the area.

She married Albert Marvin "Dick" Brown Dec. 24, 1943 and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1953 then she married Fred L. Wiseman in June 1955. He preceded her in death July 1986.

She was of the Methodist faith and had attended church at the Hallowell Methodist Church. She was a member of the Oswego, KS Eastern Star.

Survivors include one son Marvin J. Brown of Olive Branch, Miss, one sister Madeline Best of Columbus, two daughter-in-laws, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, one niece and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Ada Ruth Fewin and Sarah Coleen Gage, a son Oral Milton Brown, and an infant brother.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday Nov. 29, 2007 at the Park Cemetery with the Rev. Johnie Adkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, KS.
