Henry Tyree

Henry Tyree, age 79 of Columbus, KS passed away Monday morning (December 24, 2007) at the Medicalodge of Columbus after an illness.

Henry was born January 15, 1927 in Washington County, Arkansas the son of Charley and Asenath (McCracken) Tyree. He was a self employed worker; hauling hay for several area farmers in the area, and worked for the Jack Mines.

He married Sarah Elizabeth McCormick on September 16, 1944 in Pitcher, OK. She survives him of the home.

Additional survivors include Henry Lee Tyree, Janet Sue Britt, Roy Jay Tyree, Sally Ann, Fred James Tyree, Daniel Tyree, Charley George Tyree, Randy Amos Tyree all of Columbus, and Kenneth Earl Tyree of Pocono, Maryland, and Sara Jean Hutto of Greenfield, MO. brothers and sisters Pete Tyree, Luther Tyree both of Weiser, Idaho Lacey Tyree of Buhl, Idaho William Tyree of Payette Idaho, Ila Snodgrass of Grove, Oklahoma and 31 grandchildren, and 38 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by brothers and sisters Velma Getman, Pap Tyree, Haney Tyree, Reta Hill, May Mayhood, and Geneva Loughridge and one granddaughter and 3 grandsons.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday December 27, 2007 at the Lone Elm Cemetery rural Columbus, KS with pastor Shirley Halpain officiating. Arrangements are by the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, KS.
