Dennis D. Robinson, age 59, of Columbus, Kansas passed away Saturday at the Medicalodge of Columbus after an illness.

Born July 12, 1947 at Columbus, KS the son of Stanley and Alice (Howard) Robinson.

He graduated from Columbus High School in 1966. He worked for Vickers in Joplin, Mo for 20 years and then K.D.O.T. (Kansas Department of Transportation).

Memberships include 1st Christian Church Columbus, was a two term Columbus City Council member, and BASS Club in Columbus, Holiday Shores and the Home Owners Board both of Grove, Ok.

Dennis married Sherry DeBusk on June 4, 1966 in Columbus, Ks she survives of the home.

Additional survivors are two sons and their wives Larry and Dee of Columbus, and Randy and Brenda of Leawood, Ks. One brother Stanley Robinson and family of Columbus, and one sister Rosetta Fitzgerald and family of Reston, VA, 4 grandchildren Nic, Jessie, Lexy, Jaxson.

Graveside services will be Wednesday May 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Lone Elm Cemetery rural Columbus, KS. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Brother Eric Hurd will be presiding. Dennis will lay in state at Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, KS after 10 a.m. Tuesday May 29. Memorials are established for the Medicalodge Residence Fund and may be left at the Simpson Funeral Home 323 S. Kansas Ave.
