Richard C. (Trey) Darcey III, age 44, of Baxter Springs, KS passed away Saturday March 3, 2007 at his home after an illness.

He was born September 28, 1962 in Inglewood, California the son of Richard Clifton Darcey Jr. and Beverly E. Lester. He was a Computer Programmer Analogist with CFI in Joplin, MO.

He married Sharon K. Pickering August 6, 1994 in Joplin, MO.

He was a member of the Center Christian Church rural Columbus, KS.

Survivors include his wife Sharon of the home, his mother Beverly Darcey of Plano, TX. Two children Andrew Darcey and Elaine Darcey both of the home, four sisters Kim Myren of Garland, TX, Diera Smith of Plano, TX, Ginny Selec of Plano, TX and Connie Forrest of Stephenville, TX, one uncle Jerry Darcey of Orlando, Florida and 11 nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday March 7, 2007 at the Center Christian Church with Rev. Johnie Adkins officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, rural Columbus, KS. Family will receive friends from 6-7p.m. Tuesday March 6, 2007 at the Simpson Funeral Home Columbus, KS. A memorial has been set up for the Childrens Educational Fund or the Community Hospice of Pittsburg, KS and may be left at the Simpson Funeral Home 323 S. Kansas Ave, Columbus, KS 66725.
