Frances E. Robinson, age 83 of Columbus, KS passed away Thursday (October 26, 2006) evening at the St. Johns Regional Medical Center in Joplin, MO.

Frances was born December 5, 1922 at West Mineral, KS, the daughter of George Meeker and Anna Souder. Grew up and attended schools in West Mineral. She was one of five children, one brother Bill, three sisters Ruby, Mable, Mamie all preceded her in death.

Memberships include the First Christian Church in Columbus, Coterie Club serving as an officer. She worked for the Board of Education as clerk in Columbus for 22 years.

She married Joe F. Robinson June 4,1941, Carthage, MO.

Survivors include the husband of the home, one son Bill Robinson of Palm Springs, Calf. and one daughter Marla Sunday of Derby, KS. One granddaughter Tisha and husband Dan Hartman, great grand children Gracie Elizabeth and Christopher Joseph. Several nieces and nephews and two sister in laws Genevieve Gillenwater of Muskogee, OK and Thelma Meeker of Overland Park, KS.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2006 at the First Christian Church Columbus, KS with Rev. Dan Haggard and Tom Goettel officiating. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery Columbus, KS. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Sunday October 29, 2006 at the Simpson Funeral Home 323 S. Kansas Ave. Columbus, KS.
