Lila Mathis was born to Ern and June Ritter September 13, 1948 at Galena, KS.

Lila entered into her eternal reward December 28, 2006 at 1:25 p.m. at the Galena Nursing Center, where she had been a resident since April 14, 2006.

Lila was married to Stanley Mathis on November 22, 1983, who survives her.

She is also survived by a son Brian Hopkins and his wife, Cindi of Joplin, MO and a grandson Matt. Also surviving is a sister Linda Barnett of Joplin, Mo. and many friends and loved ones.

Lila was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, Baxter Springs, KS.

Her parents and a sister Twila Mast of Galena, KS preceded her in death.

Per her request, no services will be held.

Friends and loved ones may contribute to the American Diabetes Assoc.

Lila will be greatly missed.
