Earnest L. "Bugger" Lewis, age 46 of Columbus, KS passed away Saturday August 5, 2006 at his home in Columbus.

He was born Jan. 9, 1960 at Columbus, KS the son of William and Diantha (Zimmerman) Lewis. He lived all of his life in Cherokee Co. He worked as a small engine mechanic.

Survivors include one son Zachary Kitch of Columbus, KS; two brothers Daniel Lewis of state of Texas and William Lewis of Springfield, MO; two sisters Diana Burns of Columbus, KS and Florenda Cuyler of state of Wisconsin; his step mother Mae Lewis of Labette City, KS and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one brother Robert.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday August 12, 2006 at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, KS. Burial will be in the McKee Cemetery North West of Hallowell, KS at a later date.
