Macel M. Kennedy
17 May 1919 — 18 February 2006

Carl Junction, Mo. MACEL M. KENNEDY, 86, of Carl Junction, Missouri died at 4:50 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006 at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Missouri. She was born May 17, 1919 at Portageville, New Madrid County, Missouri, the daughter of Robert J. Branch and Allibee Harralson Branch. She attended schools in the Portageville, Missouri area.

On October 20, 1940, she was married to Kenneth F. Kennedy at Carl Junction, Missouri. He passed away July 1, 1994. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and, great-grandmother. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Macel was a member of the Fir Road Christian Church, rural Carl Junction, Missouri and the "Basic" adult group.

Macel is survived by daughter, Sue Simpson and her husband, Bill of Columbus, Kansas, three sons, Bob Kennedy and his wife, Gail of Carl Junction, Missouri, Keith Kennedy and his wife, Linda of Ketchum, Oklahoma and Mark Kennedy and his wife Denise of Tulsa, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, one sister, Roberta Tanner of Memphis, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Family visitation will he held at Fir Road Christian Church, Monday, February 20, 2006 from 6:00 - 8:00 p. m. Funeral services will be at the Fir Road Christian Church, Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m with the Reverends Lee Williams and Greg Morrell officiating. Burial will be at the Carl Junction Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Bob and Gail Kennedy, Carl Junction, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Fir Road Christian Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home, 323 S. Kansas, Columbus, Kansas.
