Robert Dean "Bud" Hall, age 81 of Columbus, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri after an illness.

Bud was born June 10, 1925 at his home place near Neutral, Kansas. He was a lifetime resident of Cherokee County, Kansas. The son of John Morton and Eva (Livingston) Hall. He grew up and graduated from Riverton High School in 1943. He was a farmer all of his life. He was a verteran, proudly serving in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman serving for three years. He served on the USS WASATCH and the USS ROCKY MOUNT.

He married Norma L. Handshy in January 1949 at Bentonville, Arkansas, she survives of the home.

Memberships include the First United Methodist Church, the Co-op Board, American Legion Fair Board, Columbus Country Club and the American Legion, all of Columbus. He was also founding member of the Glittering Stone 4-H group as a 4-H leader.

Survivors include, his wife of the home. Two sons, Doug Hall and his wife Lesta of Joplin, MO, and Steve Hall and his wife Linda of Overland Park, Kansas. One daughter Connie Davis and her husband Mark of Omaha, Nebraska. Eight grandchildren: Matt (Stacy) Davis, Jeff Davis, Scott Davis, Katie Davis, Chris Hall, Stephanie Hall, Brian Hall, Kaitlin Hall and one great grandson Alexander Robert Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Ollie Hall Jarvis and Trella Hall; and four brothers: Milton Hall, Wallie Hall, Dale Hall, and Warren Hall.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2006, at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, KS. In lieu of flowers friends may make a memorial donation to the United Methodist Church and may be left at the Simpson Funeral Home, 323 S. Kansas Ave, Columbus.
