Cynthia A. Edwards, age 51 of Columbus, KS passed away Friday morning April 28, 2006 at 11.35 a.m. at her home after an illness.

She was born September 17, 1954 at Aberdeen, Maryland, the daughter of Rothel and Hester (Hopkins) Moore. She graduated from the Labette County Community College in 1985 with a degree in Nursing. She has worked for 15 years at the Maude Norton Memorial Hospital in Columbus, KS.

Cindy was a member of the First Christian Church in Commerce, OK.

Cindy and Rick Edwards were married April 6, 2002. He survives of the home.

Additional survivors include her father Rothel D. Moore of Lawton, OK; two sons Jim Zook and Robert Zook both of Columbus, KS; two step children Tara and Blaine Edwards; one sister Donnella Cicero of Frontenac, KS and five grandchildren and a niece Ashley of Frontenac, KS

She was preceded in death by her mother Hester (Hopkins) Moore.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2006 at the Lowell Cemetery, Lowell, Kansas. With the Reverend Dennis Johnson officiating. The family asks that everyone meet at the funeral home and precede to the cemetery at 1:30 p.m. The family suggest memorials to be given to the Maude-Norton Hospital Auxiliary, and may be left or mailed to the Simpson Funeral Home 323 S. Kansas, Columbus, KS.
