Juanita R. vonWedell, 80 of Columbus, KS passed away Sunday Eve. (March 20, 2005) at the Medicalodge of Columbus, KS after an illness.

Juanita was born December 11, 1924 at rural Columbus, KS the daughter of Alford and Cora (Anderson) Sandberg. She was a homemaker. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1942.

Jaunita married Cecil F. Coker in 1942 and he passed away 1945. Then she married Victor J. vonWedell in 1948 in Columbus, KS and he passed away 1986. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Columbus, KS.

Survivors include two sons Victor A. vonWedell of rural Columbus, KS and James A. vonWedell of rural Columbus, KS and two daughters Marlene R. Jameson of Corpus Christi, TX and Cecile Cobb of Columbus, KS; one sister Doris M. Saala of Columbus, KS, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two brothers Charlie and William Sandberg and one sister Dorothy Sandberg and her parents.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday (March 24, 2005) at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, KS. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery Columbus, KS with Tom Goettel officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday March 23, 2005 at the Simpson Funeral Home 323 S. Kansas Ave. Columbus, KS.
