Yvonne Marie Doupnik Robinson

Yvonne Marie Doupnik Robinson, 78 of Columbus, KS passed away Thursday (October
20, 2005) at the St. Johns Regional Medical Center in Joplin, MO following a
short illness.
Yvonne was born February 2, 1927 at Wayne, KS the daughter of Joseph Elmer and
Golda Lucern (Campbell) Doupnik.
She married JW Robinson June 11, 1950 in Wayne, KS. He preceded her in death in
2001.
She graduated High School in 1945 from Wayne High School and received her
Registered Nursing Degree in 1948 from St. Lukes School of Nursing in Kansas
City, Kansas. After moving to Columbus, KS in 1957 Yvonne worked at Maude Norton
Memorial Hospital and the Cherokee County Health Department, until her
retirementin 1989. Following her retirement, she continued her nursing by
conducting blood pressure clinics in Baxter Springs until just recently.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbus, KS, she was
involved in the Sunshine Class. She taught Sunday School classes, served as a
girl scout leader, was Mother Advisor for the Rainbows and was a member of the
Order of the Eastern Star in Columbus, KS
Survivors include two daughters Anita Marie Davolt (Ed Semonick) and Jannell
Lucern Robinson (Walter Mikowlski) both of Columbus, KS, two sons Bruce Alvin
Robinson of DesMoines, New Mexico and Reed J. Robinson of Skitook, Oklahoma,
four grandsons S.Sgt. Aron Lee Davolt (Carrie) of Fort Riley, KS, Eric J Davolt,
Bruce John and Robinson Von Mikowlski all of Columbus, KS and three great
granddaughers Kristina Marie, Alexis Beth and Gracie Leigh Davolt of Columbus,
KS, a sister Betty Mae Schenk of Concordia, KS. A special neice Lynn Graham of
Fort Scott, KS, Special friends Earl and Carolyn Eddington and numerous neices
and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter and a grandson.
Funeral serives will be 10:30 a.m. Monday (October 24, 2005) at the First United
Methodist Church in Columbus, KS. with Reverend Don Flanner and Reverend Gary
Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in the Park Cemetery of Columbus, KS.
there will be no formal visitation, the body may be viewed at the Simpson
Funeral Home in Columbus, KS beginning 3 p.m. Friday Oct. 21. Family members
will be at the family home, 1523 North Indiana, Columbus, KS
Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, First
United Methodist Church of Columbus or the upkeep of the Frisco Caboose. All may
be left at the Simpson Funeral Home 323 S. Kansas Ave. Columbus, KS 66725.
