Allen Dale Moore, 77, of rural Columbus, Kansas passed away January 2, 2005 as a result of an automobile accident in Cherokee Co., KS. He was a farmer and a stockman in Cheorkee Co. for a number of years.

Mr. Moore was born October 22, 1927 at Coffeyville, Kansas the son of James Ira and Minnie Belle (Jarrett) Moore. He was raised in Valdea, Kansas and graduated from Altamont High School.

Survivors include three sons: Allen Dale Moore II of Rural Columbus, KS, Shawn Eric Moore of rural Quapaw, OK, and Eric Micheal Moore of Miami, OK; four daughters: Janice Wilkerson of Galena, KS, Timmie Ann Boone of Pittsburg, KS, Melissa Lynn Ross of Pittsburg, KS, and Samantha Sue Moore of Disney, OK; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and a special friend Mable Burton of Columbus, KS.

Mr. Moore has been cremated. Memorial visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday January 7, 2004 at the Simpson Funeral Home 323 S. Kansas Ave. Columbus, KS. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to the Cherokee Co. 4-H Council and these may be left at the funeral home.
