C. Lee Gleason
27 June 1914 — 15 March 2005

C. Lee Gleason, age 90 of Columbus, KS passed away 6:26 p.m. Tuesday (March 15, 2005) at the St. Johns Regional Medical Center in Joplin, MO after an illness.

Lee was born June 27, 1914 at rural Columbus, KS the son of William Albert and Docia (Stover) Gleason. Grew up and attended schools in and around Columbus, KS. He was a farmer and a stockman all of his life.

He served in the US Army during WWII.

He attended the Center Christian Church Columbus, KS.

Lee married Ada "Judy" Stone May 6, 1944 in Girard, KS.

Lee is survived by his wife of the home and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Harold, Harvey, Albert and half-brother William Dale.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday (March 18, 2005) at the Park Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Gentzler officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday (March 17, 2005) at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, KS. Memorial has been established in Lee's name to the First Christian Church of Columbus and may be left at or mailed to the Simpson Funeral Home 323 S. Kansas Ave. Columbus, KS.
