Clarence Harvey Wilcox
4 March 1912 — 13 July 2004

Clarence Harvey Wilcox, 92 of Columbus, Kansas died Tuesday July 13, 2004 at the Medicalodge of Columbus, Ks.

Born to Wiley and Bertha (Baker) Wilcox on March 4, 1912 north of Sherwin, Kansas he was a lifetime area farmer and was a John Deere Dealer in Columbus, Kansas in the late 1950's to 1974.

He was active in the Sportsman Assoc. and loved hunting and fishing for years.

He married Mildred Crain on Dec. 18, 1930. They raised five children. They were divorced.

He was preceded in death by his second wife Golda Handshy Wilcox, a son Fredrick Dale Wilcox, a granddaughter Gale Ann Cook, a great-granddaughter Amber Westervelt, a son-in-law Earl Williams, 3 sisters: Mary Crain, Flossie Souder, Gertrude Helwig and two little sisters: Retha Wilcox and May Wilcox and brother Homer Wilcox.

Survivors are four daughters: Patricia J Williams, Cora Sue Cook, Retha Mae Schultz and Marilea Brumback all of Columbus, Kansas. 2 stepchildren: Lloyd Handshy of Webb City, Mo. and Velma Corder of Boulder, Colo. 11 Grandchildren — Ricky Schultz, Lori De Winkler, Doug Schultz, Dale Wilcox, Todd Wilcox Lisa Goben, Steve Cook, Terri Kershaw, Legh Ann McWilliams, Susan Wells, Scott Schultz. 19 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren. One sister Edith Westervelt and one brother Wayne Wilcox both of Columbus, Kansas.

The family will receive friends from 9a.m. till service time at the Simpson Funeral Home 323 S. Kansas Ave. Columbus, Kansas. Graveside funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday July 15, 2004 at the Park Cemetery of Columbus, Kansas with the Reverend Dennis Johnson officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Sherwin Christian Church west of Columbus, Kansas.
