Merlin Gene Rosenstiel of Chetopa, Kansas passed away 4:45 p.m. Tuesday June 1, 2004 at the St. Johns Regional Medical Center of Joplin, Mo.

He was born January 9, 1943 at Wichita, Kansas the son of Merle and M. Jewel (Williams) Rosensteil. He attended schools and graduated from Wichita East High School in Wichita, Kansas.

He was a member of the US Army.

He married Judy Ann Crocker on September 18, 1965 at Sedan, Kansas, they later divorced.

Survivors include one son Troy Rosenstiel of Frontenac, Kansas and one daughter Gina Erwin of Columbus, Kansas, and one grandson.

Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday June 2, 2004 at the Greenlawn Cemetery of rural Columbus, Kansas with Larry Goddard presiding. The Simpson Funeral Home of Columbus, Kansas is in charge of the arrangements.
