Wilma L. Robison
March 2, 1914 — February 21, 2004

Wilma L. Robison, age 89 of Columbus, Kansas passed away Saturday, February 21, 2004 after an illness.

She was born March 2, 1914 in Cherokee Co., Kansas to William H. and Essie (Mehaffey) Tanquary. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1932.

She married Vern R. Robison on July 27, 1941 in Columbus, Kansas, he survives of the home.

She worked for the Cherokee County Courthouse in the Welfare office, Treasurer's office, and the Clerk's office for a number of years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and was baptised on Nov. 22, 1925 in Columbus, Kansas. She played the piano and the organ for over 70 years for the church and for a number of funerals and voice students of Clyde Davidson.

Additional survivors include: 2 daughters, Shirley Mosher of Reno, Nev. and Cheryl Vanatta of Columbus, Kansas and 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday Febraury 24, 2004 at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, Kansas with the Rev. Dennis Johnson and the Rev. Joe Gentzler officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery Columbus, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday Feb. 23, 2004 at the Simpson Funeral Home of Columbus, Ks. A memorial has been set up at the First Christian Church in Columbus, Kansas and may be left at the Funeral Home.
