Eddie L. Perry, age 76, of Columbus, Ks. passed away Friday morning May 28, 2004 at the St. Johns Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo. after an illness.

He was born June 18, 1927 at Sturgon, Mo. the son of Russell Shelby and Mary Alice (Tuddle) Perry. He attended schools in Altamont, Kansas. He was a truck driver for many years and worked for Ace Electric in Columbus, Ks.

He was a member of the E.A.A. Chapter 463 four state area and he was an avid small plane pilot.

He married Elsie Murriel Wright on Sept. 25, 1948 in Independence, Ks. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors inclue one son Joseph E. Perry of Cabit, Arkansas. Three daughters: Judith A. Thomas Enterprice, Ala., Patricia Dunnic of Columbus, Ks., Sylvia M. Christmas of Iola, Ks. One sister, Allene Yates. 9 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grand child and one great-grandchild.

Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday June 1, 2004 at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, Ks. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery, Columbus, Kansas. Memorial to the American Cancer Society may be left or mailed to Simpson Funeral Home Columbus, Ks. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday May 31, 2004 at the Simpson Funeral Home of Columbus, Ks.
