Nellie Mae Hamilton
30 August 1913 — 22 June 2004

Nellie Mae Hamilton, age 90, of the Sunset Manor of Frontenac, Ks. formerly of the Autumn Place in Columbus, Kansas passed away Tuesday morning June 22, 2004 after an illness.

Nellie was born August 30, 1913 in rural Columbus, Kansas, the daughter of William and Lizzie (Albertson) Frobish. She was a longtime farmer and she wrote Sharon News for the Columbus Advocate at one time and she was a 4-H volunteer in the rural Columbus, Kansas area. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Columbus, Kansas

Survivors include the son Carl R. Hamilton of Belton, Mo.; two granddaughters Beth Hamilton of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Molly Hamilton of Belton, Mo.; one brother Lloyd Frobish of Belton, Mo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Reno, Ralph, Harold, and Russell Frobish, and one sister Flossie Smith.

Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Monday (June 28, 2004) at the First Christian Church of Columbus, Kansas with the Reverend Joe Gentzler and the Reverend Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery, Columbus, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. till 8 p.m. Sunday (June 27, 2004) at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church of Columbus, Kansas and may be left at or mailed to the Simpson Funeral Home 323 S. Kansas Ave. Columbus, Kansas 66725.
