Norman E. Adamson

Norman E. Adamson, age 70, of rural Columbus, Kansas, died at his home Friday morning, October 1, 2004 after a short illness.
Mr. Adamson was born May 1, 1934 at Columbus, Kansas, the son of Ernest Adamson and Lavon Slover Adamson. He attended Columbus schools. He married Bruna Faye Judy on June 23, 1956 in Miami, Oklahoma. He was parts manager for Ford Motor for Company for 29 years. He then worked for Mattox Body Shop until his retirement.
Norman's passion in life included woodworking and being outdoors spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Adamson was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters who died in infancy. He is survived by his wife of the home, two daughters, Norma Burnett of Miami, Oklahoma and Marla Glasgow of Columbus, Kansas, three grandchildren and two step grandsons, one brother, Ray Adamson of Kansas City, Mo., three sisters, Aileen Mack and Margie Higginbotham of Columbus, Kansas and Marcia Mathes of Grove, Oklahoma.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 4, 2004 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a. m. at Edgmond Cemetery, rural Columbus, Kansas on Tuesday, October 5, 2004 with Reverend Don Flanner officiating. The family suggests memorial donations to the St. John's Cancer Center.
