Larry Wayne Kidd, 41, of Columbus, Kansas passed away October 22, 2003 at his home in Columbus, Kansas.

Larry Wayne was born July 14, 1962 at Alanta, Ga. the son of Robert N. Kidd and Beatrice M. (Hodges) Kidd.

He attended schools in the Alanta, Ga. He worked for Crossland Construction Company for 15 years as a laborer. He moved to the area in 1992.

He married Christine L. Ortner on August 7th 1983 in Las Vegas, Nv. She survives of the home

Additional survivors include 2 sons Stephen Kidd and Justin Kidd of the home, 1 daughter Marie Phillips of Mableton, Ga., mother Beatrice Kidd of Griffin, Ga., his step mother Annette Kidd of Opelika, Al., 1 brother Robert Kenneth Kidd of Columbus, Ks., and 1 Sister Debbie Wardlaw of Sharpsburg, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert N. Kidd.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday (October 27, 2003) at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, Kansas with the Rev. Joe Gentzler officiating. Burial will be in the Oakhill Cemetery in Chetopa, Kansas. Family visitation will be from 4 p.m. til 6 p.m. Sunday (October 26, 2003) at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, Kansas.

A memorial has been est. a scholorship fund for Stephen and Justin Kidd and may be left at the Simpson Funeral Home 323 S. Kansas Columbus, Kansas or the Exchange State Bank in Columbus, Kansas.
