Helen M. Simone

Helen M. Simone, 83, of Scammon, Kansas passed away 8:27 p.m. on December 28, 2002 at the St. Johns Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri after an illness.

Helen was born Feb. 5, 1919 in Cherokee County, Kansas the daughter of Nelson Pearson and Elizabeth Masterson.

She married Louie D. Simone. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1981.

She was a member of the St. Bridgets Catholic Church in Scammon, Kansas and was a 60 year member of the E.H.U. in Columbus, Kansas.

She is survived by one son Jim Simone, Bandera, Texas. Two daughters Mary Elizabeth Miessler of Independence, Kansas and Therese Wilkinson of Scammon, Kansas. 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one sister.

Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday (December 31, 2002) at the St. Bridgets Catholic Church in Scammon, Ks. with the Father Robert D. McElwee offic. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery in Columbus, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday evening at the Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus, Kansas.
